Totally random encounters that scale up way too fast. Limited carry with no way to upgrade it. Weapons break too easily. Food is so limited it will be your biggest fight. Zombies are secondary to food. This game could be awesome. It could be 5 stars. But it is just a "play for 5 minutes then die" game. There is no reason to be able to upgrade things because you dont last long enough. Update. I understand why this game is screwed up. It has an Asian maker that put an Asian twist on things. In 99% of anime everyone dies in a zombie hoard. The game is not a survival game. It is a death game.
With a few tweaks this game could be 5 stars. Time passes to fast when youre just thinking what to do. When youre not fighting or building or traveling, time should pass in real time or even have a pause button. That alone would make it a 5 star. As it is, its just a IAP money grab.
I do understand that you were trying to implement real zombie survive, but its way too hard for not zombieland livings. I wish you would make difficulty choices, such as beginner, expertise, and hell on earth
Impossible survive more than 10 days without do in app purchases
not even possible to get very far even with purchases, this game is a big scam
I cant build or cook anything with the new update. Otherwise I like the game.
Good job making this game!!
Have played this nonstop for a few weeks. Love finding new intricacies to eke out a few extra days of survival. Update has almost doubled my survival time, making the game much more enjoyable; have just discovered new areas of the map! Still request being able to wash wound at medic station, to relax at couch without coffee, and to eat food and use medicine when away from home. Would still love to be able to unlock things like faster travel speed, perhaps as a "Cardio" achievement for walking x hours across multiple games, or more accurate shot for shooting x zombies across multiple games (could be called "Target Practice"). IAP for these benefits can remain for those who dont want to grind and prefer a shortcut. Looking forward to this game just getting better and better! <3
Awesome game! However, lack of survival resources that spawn randomly creates a game purely based on luck instead of skill, level, or strategy. Maybe more required survival items should be properly placed
Very well made game, fun and challenging to play, but wish if theres a story mood or a specific goal to have more features of the game.
Great game, but its too hard to live without spending $$$ over and over again......they need to try again.
Despite most people being wiped out there is an amazing lack of resources....
the best zombie game!
I wish this company would make more games like this. The only downside is most of the other players are from China. I cant understand what they are saying on the radio but they sure seem friendly. :)
This game is a lot of fun and keeps me coming back for hours! Worth the money!
Unfortunately, I can not play this on my iPad Air with the latest update. The app opens but then just closes immediately. I could not find a way to contact the developer through here or the website. The website basically just contains a link to download the app. So instead... I am leaving this review and low rating and hopefully the dev will notice that there is an issue and that the app needs another update. I will edit this to a positive review when I can actually play again. It is a nice game when playable. :(
I am loving the recent updates to Buried Town but I am running into a problem where Rotten Zombies and higher hit me twice with a lesser zombie attack even when there isnt a lesser zombie. Rotten hits with Mutilated and Rotten, Bloated hits with Rotten and Bloated. Is this a game issue or is it supposed to happen?
Overall I enjoy this game. It has decent (if simple) music and sounds that help capture the mood. I wish you could adjust the volume in the game, but unfortunately the only options are "sound on" and "sound off". The interface takes a few tries to get the hang of, and I wish there was more detailed descriptions of what items do in game. Time management is heavily skewed with some tasks taking far too long for their potential in-game benefit. Item drops are random, so each game comes down more to luck than skill - if the proper items drop early in the game, youll have an easier time. I have yet to discover the use of "mood" in-game; and the game does not give adequate descriptions of what its use is, and how to improve it. The most useful items are hidden behind an "in-app purchase" pay wall. While I have no problem buying expansions to add a new dimension to a game, I will not do so just to accomplish things you should already be able to do in-game. For instance: when crafting is an aspect of the game, I should not have to pay real money for the ability to craft items in-game with in-game resources. If I buy something, I shouldnt have to grind through the game to build it. If I grind through the game to gather resources to build something (boots, for example) I should not have to pay a dollar to be able to build them. The cardinal rule for in-app purchases: items should be unlocked by either gameplay OR money, not both. The game allows you to share your progress via social media which will unlock a first aid kit for your next game (and ONLY the next game). If you do not use the first aid kit (or if you restart the game) you will lose that item from your starting inventory. Bear this in mind if you screw something up early in the game and want to restart. For a game that is all about time management, it is strange to not have a pause button. If you want to think about your next move, you have to leave the app to stop the clock. The clock continues to run while you peruse the item, trade, load-out, and travel screens - but it pauses as combat takes place. The game lacks a "retreat" button, so if a fight starts going South your character will continue to fight while youre getting frustrated wanting to run away. I have yet to discover a way to harvest wood. Considering all the buildings are built of wood, and there are boxes and fences and trees - it should be one of the easiest resources to collect (with its mass being its major drawback). CONCLUSION: This game has an interesting aesthetic and puts you in the shoes of someone who is just trying to survive as long as possible (before the bitter end). You might starve, you might get mauled, an infection might kill you - expect to die, but its fun to see how long you can hold out. That said, there are certain aspects of this games design that confuse or frustrate. These issues prevent the game from being a great game and regulate it to the category of "flawed - with potential". It is a rough game right now - but in the event the programmers polish it up a bit, this game could become a hauntingly beautiful experience.
Pretty good game
